A note from our "personal chef:" Hi there, I’m Mitchell Talisman, and I was lucky enough to attend Lou Bortone’s first ever Video Mastermind in Tuscany last year, along with my wife, Laura Allen, ThePitchGirl. Laura was attending Lou’s outstanding seminar on effective use of video marketing and I was basically along for the ride – who could resist staying in a gorgeous Tuscan villa surrounded by the beauty, culture and food of Italy?
I love to cook, and as luck would have it, there was a need. We had a house full of overachievers working up an appetite every day, and I did my best to satisfy with help from everyone. The villa is equipped with a dining table cut from a slab of wood thirty feet long, a fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. The herb garden is in full bloom and there’s even a stone pizza oven in the garden. No chef could be happier.
Laura is vegetarian and I’m accustomed to cooking meals to satisfy many preferences. I try to prepare healthy food from primary ingredients. In Italy it’s a pleasure to take advantage of the incredible farm-fresh eggs, wonderful fruit and vegetables, and the best pasta, cheese, sausage and wines on the planet.
If anyone wants to pitch in for cooking, shopping or cleanup, you would be most welcome, I only offer because it’s my hobby and my small contribution to being a part of this terrific event.
To be clear, I will try to cook some or most of the time and make one meat and one non-meat thing to accommodate the normal range of dietary preference. I do this for fun and only if a majority would enjoy it. I cannot cater to every niche, so vegan or gluten-free are generally beyond my range, sorry.
